For other uses, see Door (disambiguation).

Jail Doors are doors for Cells, Holding Cells and other places where Prisoners go. There is also a larger version available called the Large Jail Door. Jail doors can only be opened by Guards, an activated Door Servo or a prisoner who obtained jail keys from a dead or unconscious guard, riot guard, or armed guard. Any other person wanting to pass through a closed jail door will wait in front of it until a guard arrives and opens it. For that reason, jail doors in highly frequented areas should always have at least one guard stationed nearby.

Jail doors can also be placed at critical areas/rooms (such as the exit to a kitchen/canteen or yard) and left in "locked open" mode, they will close in the event of a lockdown, but not impede traffic in the mean time. Jail doors are good when starting a prison, as they are cheap and effective. It is advised that in later stages in the prison, all jail doors are replaced with solitary doors or remote doors.

You can also right click on a jail door to open it manually, similar to a guard.
