A Power export meter is a utility in the Going Green DLC that allows you to send off any stored energy back to the grid for financial returns. It must be wired to a Transformer that has batteries connected in order to function properly.
The export meter's capacity can be upgraded by reaching Green Energy Goals which are found under the Grants tab.
Note that the power export happen at midnight and immediately deplete all energy storage (assuming maxed export cap), so make sure your exporting grid is not using battery power during nights.
